Security Policy and Planning

Working with you, we'll help you draft a security policy that compliments your safeguarding and safety policies, working hand in hand with your existing management system. We'll help you design plans to respond to security threats and keep your students and staff secure.

Threat Assessment

We'll compile a thorough threat assessment, analysing recent threat trends in academic organisations, along with a tailored local assessment of crime, terrorism and other non-traditional threat actors. Forewarned is forearmed.

We can also assist in building relationships with local police and other community stakeholders where those relationships don't already exist or reinforcing existing relationships. 

Building Security

We'll review the buildings to ensure access is appropriately controlled, lighting is adequate for both security and safety purposes, existing CCTV is optimised and correctly installed with blind spots mapped and alarm systems are functioning correctly. We'll provide you with recommendations to make the most of your existing controls.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

We'll conduct a comprehensive risk assessment, leaving you with a fully developed security risk register and assist you in managing and updating your risks to changing circumstances. An effective risk management framework is a legal obligation for schools under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 & Regulations 1999.

Perimeter Security

We'll review your school boundary to assess the efficacy of existing barriers and locking mechanisms, providing you with an assessment on the boundary and recommendations to improve.

Staff Training & Awareness

Finally, leveraging our years of real world experience, we can provide your staff with security awareness training to enable familiarity with the security policy, plans and the latest threats. This training can be extended to students if required.
